Perfect 10 for police blitz
POLICE have arrested 10 people following a three day operation targeting criminal activity in and around Bendigo.
A total of 10 search warrants were executed across Bendigo, Longlea, Strathdale and Heathcote areas between September 25 and 27.
Addresses in California Gully, Bendigo, Longlea, Heathcote and Redesdale were targeted as part of an ongoing initiative to target volume crime within the western part of the state.
Police arrested a 27-year-old Kangaroo Flat man and 29-year old Long Gully woman following a search warrant at a Long Gully address.
Investigators seized what is alleged to be a quantity of methamphetamine, a homemade firearm and a quantity of ammunition at the address.
The man appeared before the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on September 25 charged with possess drug of dependence, possess firearm and possess ammunition without a licence.
The woman was remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on November 21 charged with drug offences.
Further warrants and operations are planned for the future.
