Many strings to Melba Quartet’s bow
ONE of Australia’s most lauded chamber ensembles, Melba Quartet, will be serenading Heathcote on October 17.
Melba Quartet is made up of musicians who worked together as the Australian String Quartet until 1996, establishing it as an important national and international ensemble.
Incredibly, the tickets are just $10 for the world-class performance at St John’s Anglican Church.
Melba Quartet will be making its way through Heathcote as part of a country tour that will also take the musicians to Elmore and Boort.
The act has proved very popular and it once earned a glowing review in The
Australian newspaper. “The inaugural recital of the Melba Quartet is a cause for celebration. This concert provided instant proof that a significant new Australian string ensemble has been launched,” it read.
It promises to be a spectacular show and one that Heathcote will not forget in a hurry.
