Big win a fan­tas­tic out­come for McIvor Farm Foods

MEM­BER for Euroa Steph Ryan has con­grat­u­lated Belinda and Ja­son Ha­gan from McIvor Farm Foods on their re­cent achieve­ment at the Pro­duce Awards in Sydney.

Ms Ryan at­tended the Gold Medal Cel­e­bra­tory Din­ner last month in recog­ni­tion of the farm’s pres­ti­gious win which in­cluded a menu fea­tur­ing the prize win­ning pork.

“I was de­lighted to at­tend the McIvor Farms’ Cel­e­bra­tory Din­ner at Ma­son’s of Bendigo to cel­e­brate this sig­nif­i­cant achieve­ment,” Ms Ryan said.

“The din­ner con­sisted of 11 dishes that cel­e­brated McIvor Farms’ golden pork, in­clud­ing dessert.

“Belinda and Ja­son are in­cred­i­bly hard work­ing and pas­sion­ate peo­ple. They started McIvor Farm in 2010 and have built a loyal fol­low­ing of restau­rants and home cooks who go out of their way to see them at farm­ers’ mar­kets.

“McIvor Farm is a free-range farm re­gen­er­a­tive us­ing farm man­age­ment prac­tices to re­store soil health and im­prove the wa­ter cy­cle.

“Their old breed Berk­shire pigs have been pas­ture raised free from GMOs and hor­mones which has in turn cre­ated de­li­cious meat, sought af­ter by award-win­ning restau­rants.

“Af­ter be­ing nom­i­nated for this award for five years run­ning, Belinda and Ja­son’s hard work has fi­nally paid off.

“The Pro­duce Awards cel­e­brate Aus­tralia’s bounty of eth­i­cal, sus­tain­able and in­no­va­tive in­gre­di­ents.

“This is a fan­tas­tic out­come for McIvor Farm Foods and for the lo­cal com­mu­nity.”
