ON SATURDAY, a stableford was held for the men while the ladies played a 4BBB stableford at the Axedale Golf Club. The day’s sponsor was Carley’s Advisory Services. Men’s stableford: In first division of the men’s the winner was Glenn Morrison (7 h/c, 41 points). The runner-up was Sam Bilardi (15 h/c, 40 points). Third place went to Rob Taylor (12 h/c, 37 points).
In division two, the winner was Peter Richardson (17 h/c, 41 points). The runner-up was Brian Edwards (20 h/c, 38 points) from David Stephens (18 h/c, 37 points) in third place on a countback.
In division three, the winner was Greg Hamilton (24 h/c, 39 points). The runner-up was Russell McGibbon (23 h/c, 37 points). Third place went to David Yum (26 h/c, 36 points). Ball winners: Aiden Fitzgerald 37, Ian Logan 37, Steve Lee 36, Brandt Flemming 36, Warren Pollock 36 and Brett Moore 36.
4BBB women’s stableford In the women’s 4BBB stableford event, division one, the winning pair was Dianne Wenzlau (16 h/c) and Therese Lynch (40 h/c) with a total nett score of 50.
The runner-up team comprised Marianne Dunn (31 h/c) and Rosslyn Yum (29 h/c) with a total nett score of 45 on a countback.

In division one, for handicaps of 0-16, the winner was Rob Taylor (13 h/c, 41 points). The runner-up was Paul Pyke (9 h/c, 40 points). Third place went to Chris Phillips (10 h/c, 38 points).
In division two, for handicaps of 17-23, the winner was Peter Richardson (17 h/c, 39 points). The runner-up was Gary Day (18 h/c, 36 points) on a countback from Len Rodda (19 h/c, 36 points), also on a countback.
In division three, for handicaps of 24-36, the winner was David Purdy (33 h/c, 37 points) on a count-back from Vik Sabaliauskas division two: Geoff (26 h/c, 37 points), while third place went to David Lubke (24 h/c, 36 points).
