Free ses­sion to learn about first aid and Heathcote’s de­fib­ril­la­tors

DID you know Heathcote has sev­eral Au­to­mated Ex­ter­nal De­fib­ril­la­tors (AEDs) scat­tered through­out its fa­cil­i­ties and com­mu­nity groups?

Do you know where they are and would you be com­fort­able us­ing one in an emer­gency?

All those ques­tions will be an­swered at a free com­mu­nity de­fib­ril­la­tor and first aid ses­sion on De­cem­ber 4 pro­vided by the Heathcote and District Com­mu­nity Bank.

You’ll learn how to use an AED, where they are lo­cated, as well as ba­sic first aid train­ing pro­vided by St. John’s Am­bu­lance.

It’s on at the Bar­rack Re­serve Com­plex. A free sausage siz­zle will be held from 4.30pm and the ses­sion will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
