The U12s team were the shining light for the Club in 2012. After the grading games, under the coaching of Brice, they went through the season undefeated and the enthusiasm and fun they had was so great to see. From the cold, wet, foggy early morning starts in August to the warm October night they returned for the team photo, nothing dampened their spirits. What a year Victor Butler had! Captain of our U18s, invited to the HDFNL squad and runaway winner of the David Roulston Medal for Best player in the League. Like Brooke, he was playing in a team that won 4 games for the year but polled 28 votes more than doubling the runners-up votes to win the award by a margin of 15 votes. Putting that into perspective, Victor averaged more than 2 votes for every game the team played.

Special Mention must also be made of Ebony Kinnear, who, while playing in A Reserve netball that did not taste success for the season, ¿QLVKHG WKLUG LQ WKH %HVW DQG )DLUHVW ZLWK YRWHV
