Grainger Museum

Melbourne Official Visitor Guide - - Arts & Culture -

One of Melbourne’s most fascinating institutions, the Grainger Museum is a unique site devoted to creativity and is one of the city’s hidden gems.

The only purpose-built, autobiographical museum in Australia, the Grainger Museum is home to a wonderful collection of art, photographs, costumes, music scores and instruments acquired by Percy Grainger, an icon of 20th-century Australian music culture.

Discover the creative genius of Percy Grainger through the diverse collection and rotating temporary exhibitions that showcase Australia’s musical history. Free admission.
