IRINA TIABLIKOVA SOLOIST AT MOSCOW BALLET LA CLASSIQUE

-

I am happiest when… I am with my family and friends. You wouldn’t know it but... I love the cold winter in my home country, Russia. My most embarrassing moment... was my first date with a boy. The last time I cried was… when I waved goodbye to my family at Moscow airport. I was departing to join this tour. The last book I read was… Vanity Fair by William Thackeray. My favourite film is... Murder on the Orient Express. I really want to... see our beautiful world, and live in peace and harmony with no war or conflict. My guilty pleasure is... coffee and chocolate. Life has taught me... to cherish my family. I’m about to... graduate from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, some time next year. My first job was... and still is, as a ballerina at the Moscow Ballet La Classique. My most memorable career moment was… our opening night at The Regal Theatre in Perth for this concert season. What I enjoy most about my work is… the opportunity to travel and perform around the world.

Irina Tiablikova performs in the Moscow Ballet La Classique’s The Nutcracker at the Theatre Royal in Hobart next Thursday and Friday, from 7.30pm. This all-ages show brings to life the Tchaikovsky score featuring the famous Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and The Waltz of the Flowers. Adult tickets from $60
