WHY DON’T YOU? TEST YOUR OCEAN SWIMMING SKILLS
Test your fitness, endurance and swimming ability in the 7MB Ocean Swim Race 2 tomorrow at Seven Mile Beach near Hobart as part of the Engine Swimwear Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series. The event is hosted by Carlton Park Surf Life Saving Club and Swimming Tasmania, and includes swims for all ages and abilities, including Banana Boat SwimKids, a new national series for kids aged seven to 12. Register to swim in the 2km course or take on the 500m novice race. The long race is open to participants aged 12 years and above, while the shorter event is for those aged 10 years and up. Racing starts from 12pm. Entry: $25 online for adults, or $30 on the day; and $15 online for juniors (16 years and under), or $20 on the day. Competitors in the kids’ event receive a finisher’s medal, silicon swim cap, race bag with goodies and sunscreen. Visit carltonparkslsc.com.au
