FIRST PERSON

SASHA MOLONEY CRICKETER

-

I was happiest when ... we adopted our cat, Simba. You wouldn’t know it but … I’m terrified of mice. My most embarrassing moment ... when I cut my hair short. The last time I cried was ... when I hurt my shoulder during a club cricket match. The last book I read was ... The Tattooist of Auschwitz. My favourite films are ... Harry Potter films. I really want to ... sleep under the Northern Lights, in Norway. My guilty pleasure is ... watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Life has taught me … to learn from my mistakes. We’re about to ... play our first Hobart games for WBBL/04. My first job was ... working in administration at an accounting firm. My most memorable (current job) work related moment is … playing for the Hobart Hurricanes in the inaugural WBBL. What I enjoy most about my work is … I get to play a sport I love with some of my closest friends. Cricket is also a sport where you are constantly learning and being challenged, which I love.

Get behind the Hobart Hurricanes when they play their first Hobart matches for the season today and tomorrow in the WBBL blockbuster carnival weekend at Blundstone Arena. The ‘Canes will play the Sydney Sixers tonight from 7pm to 9.50pm and then again tomorrow from 1.50pm to 4.40pm. These games will be two of four WBBL matches played this weekend with the Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder facing off in games before the main events on the respective days. Gates open at Blundstone Arena, in Bellerive, today from 1.55pm and tomorrow at 9.45am. For more information go to bigbash.com.au/wbbl
