There will be car­ols to­day at John Turn­bull Park (6–8pm, 2-16 Creek Rd, Le­nah Val­ley); Guil­ford Young Col­lege (6–9pm, 94 Bar­rack St, Ho­bart); and Laud­erdale Pri­mary School Oval (Com­pas­sion Car­ols Un­der the Stars, 6.30pm–9pm). Still got Christ­mas shop­ping to do? Check out this mar­ket of unique, lo­cally made gifts. This spe­cial Christ­mas mar­ket is Ho­bart Hand­made Mar­ket’s fi­nal one of the year and will fea­ture 90 stalls, four food vans, a bar­be­cue and cof­fee van. The stalls will in­clude ev­ery­thing from hand­made chop­ping boards, pre­serves and jew­ellery to can­dles, bath bombs and even slime. The event in­cludes en­ter­tain­ment for the kids as well as a play­ground and is pram and wheel­chair ac­ces­si­ble. Search for Ho­bart Hand­made Mak­ers Mar­ket on face­book. The event will be held at the school at 271 East Der­went High­way, Geilston Bay.
