Spring has reached a crescendo and it’s also warm enough to plant frost-tender plants with confidence — particular­ly tomatoes. Late spring is planting time for flowers and food plants that are harvested in summer and autumn. As the weather warms up and there’s less rain about, step up watering and pay particular attention to new plantings and edibles especially on hot or windy days.
