The Holdenbrand and a network of 200 dealers will stay. To reverse the sales slide driven by the departure of the homegrown Commodore, Holden plans to have 20 new models by 2020.

The existing import line-up will continue: from Thailand come the Colorado ute and Trailblazer SUV, South Korea builds the Spark, Barina, Trax, Captiva and Astra sedan, while Poland supplies the Astra hatch.

The next Commodore, due in March, will come from Germany, and the Equinox and Acadia SUVs will come from the US.
