DRESSED FOR SUCCESS

A CHIC and stylish contemporary family home on Hobart’s Eastern Shore has caught the eye of house hunters far and wide.

No.6 Supply Court in Oakdowns had only been on the market for three days at the time of writing, and had already zoomed past 5000 views on realestate.com.au.

This landed it in the No.1 spot as the most viewed Tasmanian home of the week and put it in the top 20 nationwide.

Nest Property marketing consultant Melinda Warren says the home “really is stunning”.

“Credit really does go to the vendors, who are in the construction industry and own VinBuilt,” she said.

“They have not only designed and built such an incredible property, but also styled it so beautifully.

“A number of buyers have commented on how nice it is to see something different in this area.”

Ms Warren said so far everyone that had been through the home — bar two — had taken contracts.

“We have already had one sight unseen offer from a local that was worried about missing out before they could inspect,” she said.

“We are trying to manage this the best way that we can by notifying the vendors of offers as they come, but also waiting until the open home before any firm decisions are made.”

The striking four-bedroom Eastern Shore abode features sunny living spaces with raked ceilings, a modern kitchen — with an island bench, tiled splashback, pretty feature window and black tapware — plus alfresco entertainment areas.

The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and terrific timber finishes can be found throughout the home.

It has everything needed for a comfortable lifestyle, from the study nook in the hall to a tub in the sleek and stylish bathroom.

Ms Warren said the potential buyers had been an interesting mix, but were primarily families.

“There has been a large sub-section of first home buyers who have been unable to build with the current shortages and lengthy start dates,” she said.

“That’s a story I have heard often, with some waiting 24 months.

“There has also been a smaller number of those we would traditionally call downsizers, but who really just want a level property that is low maintenance.”

No.6 Supply Court is listed at “offers over $595,000”.
