Yesterday morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, received Commander Catherine Hayes RAN, Commanding Officer of HMAS Toowoomba, together with Commander Stacey Porter RAN, Commanding Officer, Navy Headquarters Tasmania. In the afternoon, the Governor received Associate Professor Elle Leane, Secretary, and Ms Jessica Radford, Community Co-ordinator, of the Tasmanian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee. In the evening at the Stanley Burbury Theatre, University of Tasmania, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Warner, chaired the 2015 Richard Selby Smith Oration following which they attended dinner at the University Club.
