Low-carb beer kicked in guts
DRINKERS are being duped into believing low-carb beers are healthy, the Cancer Council claims.
An analysis of so-called low-carb beers shows they are no better at avoiding a beer gut than a normal brew. Because the carbohydrate content of beer is already low, cutting its content has a negligible impact, Cancer Council LiveLighter campaign manager Alison McAleese said.
