Could you make room for Mojo?

- HELEN KEMPTON If you think Mojo is the dog for you, call 6243 5177.

MEET Mojo, a mellow mutt who is the oldest resident at the Hobart Dogs’ Home.

Mojo is a smiley senior looking for a comfortable and loving place to spend his last years.

He has been involved in the Pups on Parole program at the Ron Barwick Minimum Security Prison and loved the gig.

But Mojo is now ready to have a family of his own and a place to put his paws up.

At almost 12 years old, the bull terrier cross will not eat the furniture as a puppy might, but he would certainly like to lay on it with you.

“Mojo is a real cruiser, a gentle old man,” a Dogs’ Home spokeswoman said.

“He wants to watch the sun rise and the sun set in comfort in a home where he is adored.”

Mojo only has a few requirements — a soft, comfy bed, to go on walks and for a few treats now he no longer has to watch his figure.

The other dogs up for adoption featured in the

Mercury this week, Edgar and Hank, are still at the home but potential owners are coming to meet them this weekend.

Because Mojo is an elder statesman his adoption fee through the Dogs’ Home is just $90.
