Undermining Tasmania

HATS off to Rebecca White and the Tasmanian Labor Party for committing to limit poker machines to casinos. That federal ALP members of Parliament are undermining this policy and putting Tasmanian lives and wellbeing at risk is unconscionable. Would all Tasmanian federal MPs please state their position on pokies reform.

Overwhelmed at Cygnet

I JUST returned from the wonderful Cygnet Folk Festival where our band, The Blackwater Band, played a few gigs. We were overwhelmed by the good work by the organisers and their army of dedicated volunteers. The hospitality of the locals was a testimony to the reputation of Tasmanians and they are all good ambassadors of the beautiful township of Cygnet. The music was awesome.
