A natural way for students to learn

-

HILLIARD Christian School provides opportunities for students to participate in an educational experience that is unique to Hobart.

Students learn the Australian curriculum in an environment that is underpinned by the four core values of Belonging, Respect, Integrity and Perseverance.

Offering classes from Kindergarten to Year 10, the small size of the school provides a familytype atmosphere, where the students know and support each other.

Learning takes place in classrooms supported by committed teachers with a focus on developing literacy and numeracy.

Situated on a hilltop location with panoramic views from Mt Wellington around to the River Derwent, the school provides an opportunity for students to enjoy a haven of natural beauty.

The school also has a full-sized gymnasium to cater for the full gamut of local weather and provide chances for students to exercise.

An advantage of having both primary and high school classes is the opportunity to involve students in a transition program, with the Year 5 and Year 6 students experiencing Technology classes with high school teachers and in their specialised areas. This gives the students the chance to actively explore working with wood, metal, textiles and food.

Students also have the opportunity to experience integrated activities using Information Technology.

Hilliard has an affordable fee structure, with assistance available for low-income families. Discounts also apply for more than one child enrolled into the school.

As well as catering for students who live in the vicinity of the school, Hilliard Christian School has a private bus fleet that provides for students living in the northern, eastern and southern suburbs.

With more than 100 years of experience in Hobart, why not take the time to appreciate what Hilliard Christian School can do for your child.
