Pakistan foray ruled out

Mercury (Hobart) - - SPORT - RUSSELL GOULD

GOVERNMENT advice to avoid travel to Pakistan because of a “high” terrorist attack risk has prompted Cricket Australia to rule put a one-day series there in late March.

Officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board are continuing to hold out hope that CA will send a team to receive presentations on security plans.

The PCB said they were still awaiting a response to a letter sent on January 7 to CA.

Australia has not played in Pakistan for 20 years, and CA has already made its position clear to the PCB.
