Knights in new-look comeback

- SHAUN McMANUS

GLENORCHY Knights will make their return to an expanded NPL Tasmania next month after a three-year absence with a fresh new look.

The Knights unveiled their new logo yesterday, which shows off the club’s full name, year of establishment, club colours, and heritage.

“We’ve been working on that for close to nine months to make sure that we got it right,” president Tony Bacic said.

“We probably started off with about 15 different designs, and we broke it down and broke it down, [and] we used a graphic designer to help us through that process.

“From there, at our last tro- phy night we put it out to all the people there and had a bit of a vote and a bit of feedback there, then from there we brought it back and worked and worked on it and came up with this.”

The new logo will be transitioned on clubs strips over time and will be on club apparel from the beginning of the 2019 season.

The Knights and Riverside Olympic were promoted to the NPL Tasmania at the end of last season, while the Northern Rangers withdrew from the competition in October.
