Paine back to boost the Tigers

AUSTRALIAN Test captain Tim Paine will return to the Tigers’ line-up as Sheffield Shield cricket resumes after the Big Bash League break.

Paine, alongside bowling all-rounder Tom Rogers and rookie off-spinner Jarrod Freeman are the three inclusions for the 13-man squad to take on South Australia in Adelaide starting on Saturday. Former skipper George Bailey leads the outs, because of his dislocated shoulder suffered in the Hurricanes’ BBL semi-final loss, while all-rounder Simon Milenko has been dropped from the team that lost to Queensland before Christmas and batsman Sean Willis has been omitted from the squad.

The Tigers are in fifth place, four points behind secondplaced NSW with four matches remaining in the season.
