Motorbike rider critical
A TEENAGE boy remained in a critical condition last night following a trail bike crash at Scottsdale.
The 14-year-old was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital on Sunday after he was seriously injured when he crashed his trail bike into a barbed wire fence.
He had been riding with a friend when he hit a cattle fence on Old Waterhouse Rd, North Scottsdale, about 11.30am.
Police, the State Emergency Service and Ambulance Tasmania treated the boy at the scene.
He sustained a closed head injury and facial and wrist fractures.
