Two dead in protests
PROTESTERS denouncing corruption have paralysed much of Haiti’s capital with police reporting two people killed and five injured.
Demonstrators burned tyres and threw stones during the march in Port-au-Prince, as they demanded the removal of President Jovenel Moise.
Many stores and petrol stations were closed and travel between some cities was impeded as protesters blocked roads.
Protesters were demanding investigation into the fate of funds that resulted from subsidised oil shipments under the Petrocaribe program.
