Drug-count trio get court date
TWO Sydney men and a woman who were extradited to Tasmania to face drug trafficking charges will appear in the Supreme Court in Hobart on July 22.
Fahad Al-Dakak, 24, of Abbotsbury, previously pleaded not guilty to trafficking in crystal methylamphetamine between February and October last year, dealing with $68,000 alleged to be the proceeds of crime in Hobart in October last year, and using fake details to book a flight.
Mr Al-Dakak appeared in the Supreme Court via video link from Risdon Prison yesterday.
Justice Michael Brett adjourned the matter until July 22, when Mr Al-Dakak’s co-accused — Taha Afyouni, 22, of Bankstown, and Alexandra Rose Kobelke, 25, of Punchbowl — are due to appear.
Mr Afyouni and Ms Kobelke have also pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking charges.
The three were extradited to Tasmania on March 7.
