Drug-count trio get court date

TWO Syd­ney men and a woman who were ex­tra­dited to Tas­ma­nia to face drug traffickin­g charges will ap­pear in the Supreme Court in Ho­bart on July 22.

Fa­had Al-Dakak, 24, of Ab­bots­bury, pre­vi­ously pleaded not guilty to traffickin­g in crys­tal methy­lam­phetamine between Fe­bru­ary and Oc­to­ber last year, deal­ing with $68,000 al­leged to be the pro­ceeds of crime in Ho­bart in Oc­to­ber last year, and us­ing fake de­tails to book a flight.

Mr Al-Dakak ap­peared in the Supreme Court via video link from Ris­don Prison yes­ter­day.

Jus­tice Michael Brett ad­journed the mat­ter un­til July 22, when Mr Al-Dakak’s co-ac­cused — Taha Afy­ouni, 22, of Bankstown, and Alexan­dra Rose Ko­belke, 25, of Punch­bowl — are due to ap­pear.

Mr Afy­ouni and Ms Ko­belke have also pleaded not guilty to drug traffickin­g charges.

The three were ex­tra­dited to Tas­ma­nia on March 7.
