AFTER a sold-out Australian tour in 2016, British comedian Michael McIntyre is going global, and this time he has added Tassie to his map.

Best known for his Big Show on BBC Television and his role as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, the comedian’s four DVDs have collective­ly sold 3.5 million copies.

His Big World Tour has so far sold out arenas in New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai, while also setting records for the biggest-selling comedy shows in South Africa and Norway.

In the UK, McIntyre has sold more than 1.5 million tickets, including a record-breaking 28 performanc­es at London’s 02 Arena, which has a seating capacity of 16,000 people. In 2015 he was awarded the keys to the venue, an honour he shares with musical superstars Prince, Take That and One Direction.

Michael McIntyre is bringing his Big World Tour to the Derwent Entertainm­ent Centre in Hobart from 8pm tomorrow.
