Albo sets out future path
ANTHONY Albanese will today invoke the legacy of Labor’s reformist and pro-business prime ministers Bob Hawke and Paul Keating as he sets out markers for Labor’s future jobs policy.
The Opposition Leader, pictured, will use a speech at a business conference in Perth to set a new path for Labor’s relationship with business, declaring the party to be “proudly and resolutely pro-growth”.
The speech – Mr Albanese’s first major “headland” statement since taking the leadership in June – is a bid to put Bill Shorten’s failed election campaign behind it.
