Alleged escapees face court
TWO prisoners charged with escaping custody have appeared in court in Hobart.
Graham John Enniss, 38, and Shaun Anthony Dennison, 29, appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday. Neither entered a plea to the charge, and will return to court next month.
Enniss has also been charged with burglary and two counts of stealing, allegedly committed on September 23, and is yet to enter pleas to those charges.
Police allege Enniss entered a caravan on Sugarloaf Rd, Risdon Vale, as a trespasser on September 23, and that he stole items including food, toiletries, clothing and a doona, valued at $600, from the caravan.
It is further alleged Enniss stole a pair of kevlar-lined jeans and a Poison tank top that belonged to another person and were valued at about $120.
Enniss was arrested on September 24 following a police search of the Risdon Vale area.
Enniss is due to face court again on November 21, while Dennison is due to face court again on November 13. Both men were remanded in custody.
