Do you have faith in Tasmania’s health system?

I don’t have total faith in the health system. I think a lot of people fall through the cracks and I think there are things the government spend money on that could be better spent on the health system.

Mary-Anne Riddick Kingston, 50

I’m a mixed answer. Yes in that I think the staff do the very best they possibly can, and I’ve only received positive care for myself and my family. But there can be extended waiting periods.

David Cawthorn Kingston, 52

Yes and no. There are always going to be shortfalls and it doesn’t matter who is in government, it is always going to be difficult with our ageing population.

Fiona Gillon Kingston, 55

I do. I had an incident a few weeks back and had to go to the Royal. I was seen quickly, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. But the staff are under a lot of pressure and more money needs to go into the public health system to cut down on waiting lists for operations.
