The Royal House Of Windsor SBS, 7.30pm

Tonight, this historical documentary series focuses on the role Prince Philip played in modernising the monarchy in the 1960s. Frustrated after giving up his naval career once Queen Elizabeth II had ascended the throne, and considered an outsider due to his European ties, the Duke of Edinburgh channeled his energy into bringing the royals into the modern age. “Enter the Outsider” details Philip’s efforts to keep the monarchy relevant. His attempts to engage the people of Britain had an unprecedented result – RoyalFamily, an intimate and groundbreaking documentary which showed the Windsor family living their everyday lives, a program barred from broadcast since 1972.

The Good Place ABC COMEDY, 10.05pm

It’s a complicated premise, but with the show’s four humans on the run from demons intent on returning them to the Bad Place and eternal damnation, Janet (D’Arcy Carden, pictured), who serves as a kind of Siri for the afterlife, transports them into her “void”, where Jason, Tahani, Eleanor and Chidi all lose their physical forms and take on the appearance of Janet herself. D’Arcy Carden is estimated to spend more than 40 minutes on screen in this 21-minute episode, imitating her four co-stars perfectly. TheGoodPlace creator Mike Schur put it best, telling a ComicCon panel that he “will never understand D’Arcy Carden not getting nominated for an Emmy for that performance.”
