Israel kills Jihad boss

Mercury (Hobart) - - WORLD -

ISRAEL has killed a top commander from the Iranianbacked Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip.

The rare strike, which killed Islamic Jihad’s Baha Abu AlAtta in Gaza, came as Syrian media said a separate missile hit the home of an Islamic Jihad official in Damascus, killing two people including one of his sons. Syria said Israel carried out the Damascus strike, while Israel did not comment on the incident.
