Panda cubs steal show at zoo
WHEN it comes to cute animals, they don’t come much more adorable than giant panda cubs.
Three-month-old twin cubs were photographed at a naming ceremony at Pairi Daiza zoo in Belgium yesterday. Naturally they stole the show.
In line with a Chinese tradition, panda cubs are only named after 100 days. The male cub has been named Bao Di and the female Bao Mei after an online poll.
At birth, the cubs were referred to as “pink, naked sausages” because they are furless and blind, making them vulnerable in the wild.
