Oh no, news got worse

Mercury (Hobart) - - LETTERS -

THE headline “Fightback” makes gloomy news ( Mercury, November 15). Sometimes headlines exaggerate a bit, so I read the details carefully. Oh no. The news just got worse. I think most have thought of the Liberal Party as the “rich man’s party”, and the Labor Party as the “poor person’s party”. I’ve formed the opinion this is naive. I now think of the Liberal Party as the one that protects business from people and Labor as the party that tries to protect people from greedy businesses, not all, just the greedy ones. Protesters rarely protest against businesses striving to make the world a better place. Without protesters of the past, we’d have coast to coast desolation. Without the protesters of today, we’ll create the desolation of the future.
