THERE will be 50 billion devices connected to the internet globally by 2030 — more than 10 for every person, according to Microsoft chief Satya Nadella.

And there will be 175 zettabytes — or billion terabytes — of data collected by 2025.

“The real question for us is, how do we increase the tech intensity inside our organisations using this paradigm?” Mr Nadella said in Sydney yesterday.

He said Microsoft wanted to democratise artificial intelligence and allow people to build on others’ work.
