Hot Belbin aims to keep streak going
TASMANIAN boxer Bo Belbin has had a stellar start to his pro boxing career and the father of three is looking to make it continue this Saturday night against John McLaughlan.
In only two pro fights, Belbin has won both and been on the undercard for one of the biggest upsets in Australian boxing in recent times, when he fought on the card for Jeff Horn and Michael Zerafa in August. The 28-year-old, who in his younger years had a successful amateur career winning 33 of his 38 fights, said fighting on such a big occasion was a real eye-opener.
“The amount of people that were there and fighting in front of that crowd with that magnitude really pushed my confidence up,” Belbin said. “It was something I had dreamt of as a child and I was extremely proud of my performance.”
Belbin’s last fight was a technical knockout against Damian Lock and this time he will travel to Melbourne to take on tough Queenslander McLaughlan, also undefeated from his first three pro fights.
GREAT START: Boxer Bo Belbin.
