TASMANIAN country rockers The Wolfe Brothers have been nominated for a triple treat of Golden Guitar Awards.

The talented trio from the South was originally a fourman act but now comprises brothers Nick and Tom Wolfe and their childhood friend Brodie Rainbird.

They burst into the national spotlight in 2012 when they took out second place in the

Australia’s Got Talent final. They scored four Golden Guitar Awards this year, including the coveted Album of the Year.

The band is now up for another three top gongs — Video Clip of the Year and Music Single of the Year for their song

Hey Brother, as well as Vocal Collaboration of the Year for their hit Till It Ends with Lee Kernaghan — at the 2020 Tamworth Country Music Festival.

The winners will be announced on January 25.

“It is an honour to sing this song and even more special to see the way fans and industry alike have embraced it.”

The trio said collaborating with their “mate, brother and mentor” Lee Kernaghan was an “incredible thrill”.

“After nearly eight years of touring together, recording and songwriting, this is the icing on the cake as to what has been the most amazing journey,” they said.

Country Music Association of Australia chairman Dan Biddle said country music was enjoying a “new golden era” in Australia, with artists new and old “leading the way for Australian country music to shine well into the future”.
