Timing raises doubt

Mercury (Hobart) - - NEWS -

THE Bandidos yesterday questioned the timing of Tasmania’s new laws.

“Is it simply coincidental that this legislation is enacted the same week as the draconian Anti-Protest legislation is on the agenda,’’ national liaison for the Bandido Motorcycle Club Grey Norman said.

He said motorcycle clubs would never be “legislated out of existence”.

“This legislation introduced by state authorities will only drive MCs further into obscurity, thus impacting on non-MCs by being tarred by the same suspicious brush,’’ he said.

“To loosely label all MCs as being bad is a narrow view, much in the same way as to assume all police are good.

“Will Greenpeace be next?

“If we don’t stand for some things, we will fall for anything.”
