- ROB McGUIRE

TWEED Heads Ospreys enjoyed the ultimate success in their debut Bowls Premier League campaign, claiming the title at Brisbane’s Club Pine Rivers last Friday night.

The Ospreys were the best side all week, topping the ladder and working their way through to the grand final against the heavily-fancied Sydney Lions.

Ospreys skip Aaron Teys had everything go his way in the first set.

He tackled the brilliance of Aron Sherriff head on as the Ospreys took out the first set 8-1 after just four ends.

The Lions failed to make an impact as the Ospreys won the second set 9-0.
