Business owner in MLC bid

Mercury (Hobart) - - NEWS -

LAUNCESTON small business owner Jess Greene has been unveiled as Labor’s candidate for Rosevears in the May Legislative Council election.

The announcement of her candidacy comes after MLC Kerry Finch said last week he would not recontest the seat.

Ms Greene vowed that if elected, she would be a strong advocate for the people of Rosevears and hold the Government to account: “As a small business owner and a union representative, I know the importance of a job to someone’s life, and I understand the pressures on operators within a small community to remain profitable and efficient within a competitive business environment.’’
