Tigers upbeat over Higgins’ recovery

Mercury (Hobart) - - SPORT -

RICHMOND has allayed any concerns over young star Jack Higgins’ recovery from brain surgery after he was involved in a car accident as a passenger.

Tigers football boss Neil Balme confirmed Higgins was involved in a minor traffic mishap, but said he had not been hurt at all in the incident. Higgins, who has undergone two rounds of brain surgery, is not allowed to drive for a year after his operations.

Balme said Higgins checked in with the club doctor, but there had been no cause for concern.

“That was nothing. It was just a little dent in the car, no problems,” Balme said.

“There was no impact at all, fortunately.”
