Biosecurity panel named

TASMANIA’S first Biosecurity Advisory Committee has been announced.

Heading up the independent advisory body will be chairwoman Felicity Richards, who is a rural leader, businesswoman, farmer and an advocate for primary industries.

The main role of the 10member committee will be to provide advice to the government on biosecurity.

The committee will also help guide government strategies and policy for biosecurity matters.
