Redbacks in the hunt
CALLUM Ferguson has posted a half-century to give South Australia hope of pulling off victory in their Sheffield Shield clash with Western Australia at the WACA Ground.
Chasing 345 runs for victory, the Redbacks went to tea yesterday at 2-131, with Ferguson on 64 off 86 balls.
A minimum of 42 more overs will be bowled, with the Redbacks requiring a further 213 runs. Tea was called when Jake Weatherald fell for 63 off 75 balls, ending a 130-run stand with Ferguson. Earlier, Shaun Marsh cracked an unbeaten 102 to lift WA to 6(dec)-205 in their second innings.
