FOR many years global rank­ings have rated Aus­tralia poorly in ba­sic skills of read­ing and math. Long has there been an in­verse re­la­tion­ship be­tween money spent on ed­u­ca­tion and out­come. Is it not time we ques­tioned the so-called ex­perts in cur­ricu­lum? Cut­ting such funding would not rem­edy the sit­u­a­tion. Hir­ing prop­erly qual­i­fied ex­perts would.
