Tassie nine days without a case

NO new Tasmanian coronaviru­s cases were recorded yesterday.

Public Health Director Mark Veitch said Tasmania’s COVID-19 count remained at 226, with no new cases of the virus diagnosed in the past nine days.

Of the 226 Tasmanian cases, 13 people have died, 202 have recovered and 11 remain active.

Any Tasmanian with cold or flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, runny nose, or fever should contact their GP or call the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to arrange testing for coronaviru­s.
