Teachers, are you ready?

- ANNIE MCCANN

JACOB Luttrell, 9, is excited to go back to school with his friends and read books in the library after learning at home with his parents and siblings for nine weeks.

Learning from home with his sister Remi, 11, and brother Max, 4, had been “a little bit different” with mum and dad at the helm, he said.

“It’s been really fun. Sometimes I go to see Maxy or Remi and see what they’re doing.”

But he was looking forward to returning to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Primary School in Lenah Valley today, when all Government and some Catholic and independent primary schools resume campus classes.

Jacob’s mum, Sophie Luttrell, said home schooling had worked well.

“I feel like I understand a bit better now what they’re up to at school,” she said. “Hats off to teachers.”
