HO BAR T’ s first roof top restaurant and lounge bar is set to swing open its doors for the first time today.

Located on the 12t hand top floor of the Crowne Plaza hotel, Aura offers panoramic views across the city on the outside and art works by local street artist Jam in on the inside.

K al is Group owns the Crowne Plaza complex and chief executive Alexia K al is said the venue would offer a new experience for Hobart.

“Providing superior hospitality experiences that get people excited is essential to gaining customer loyalty, especially for new venues ,” she said.

“The experience one person has from Aura will be very different to what their neighbour or colleague might have. But both will be based on what we know they love, like their favourite drink, favourite table and favourite time to visit.

“If this year has shown us anything, it’ s that we need to be doing everything we can to keep our guests happy and healthy.”

During this new era of hospitality, the venue will use an online platform called Seven Rooms, which can allow for personalised offers and experiences based on patrons’ favourite dishes, drinks and dietary requirements.

Health and safety measures like QR codes, virtual wait lists and online reservations will also be used.

Executive chef K on stan tin Put kin will be serving up modern Australian dishes with a heavy focus on local produce.

Aura sales and marketing manager Tristan Hall said the venue was already fully booked for this weekend as well as its New Year’ s Eve event.

Aura will open seven days a week.
