Man dies in Huon crash

A MAN died when his vehicle crashed and overturned near an orchard south of Huonville on Thursday night.

Police and other emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on the Huon Highway near Huonville about 7.30pm.

The 39-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said preliminary investigations indicated the vehicle had travelled off the road, overturning and causing extensive damage to the vehicle and orchard netting.
