CLARENCE COUNCIL, TEE UP

WITH regard to the report that golf at Rosny was on hold and Clarence Mayor Doug Chipman’s letter about the YMCA being shut out of negotiations (Mercury, April 22), there are some options to avoid a hiatus. Clarence City Council could negotiate an immediate extension of current lease arrangements with the YMCA, or, as well as maintenance, mowing and irrigation, the council could take over operation of the course, pending community consultation, consideration of expressions of interest from long-term operators, and any City Heart proposal.
