In the new season of this culinary hit, seven teams of professional food truck owners battle it out along America’s most famous stretch of road, historic Route 66, for the chance at taking home $50,000. In tonight’s season six premiere, the teams face their first challenge on the world-famous Santa Monica Pier where they’re tasked with selling $200 worth of the most popular item on their menu. The first team to hit the jackpot gets a jumpstart on making their way to Lake Havasu City in Arizona where the next challenge awaits. One truck breaks down and another has generator issues so the pressure quickly mounts.
