PAYING FOR CHOICE

-

AS Tasmania approaches the tail end of its vaccination program it will become increasingly difficult to convince the final few, anti-vaxxer “sheeple” to get vaccinated. Perhaps they need a financial stick rather than a carrot to motivate them. Once it has been clearly established vaccines are readily available, the voluntarily unvaccinated should be required to bear their cost to the community. Poor sheeple, without private health insurance should be required to pay double Medicare levy (from 2- 4 per cent). For rich sheeple, private healthcare funds should be permitted to either remove their cover for Covid, or at least charge higher premiums to include it.

I fully support the anti-vaxxers freedom of choice, just don’t expect me to pay for it!
